Now for some aww, Cats, we are currently on our 10th and 11th. It’s wonderful, that all our cats are and have been such good company, contrary to popular belief.
About 8 years ago we took on cats that were older as these aren’t as popular as the young ones. Yep, they don’t stay around long the first two Harvey and Muffin we had for just over 3 years and it can be it bit more expensive with Vet fees, but hey they are still good company.
Harvey and Muffin were lifelong pals of 17 years. And did everything together wandering in the garden, sleeping and just chilling. Harvey passed after three years and Muffin died of a broken heart shortly after. There was nothing we could do to keep her going, it was so sad.

Ellie and Emily came next they were paired and Emily needed medication. They were fun and enjoyed being out in the garden. But Emily was getting worse and the medication wasn’t working. And she passed within a year. Ellie, did well and kept going for another year but she then developed a breathing problem which she was going to the Vets for an exploration op but she passed away under anaesthetic, we never got to say a proper goodbye.

I’m so glad we had them all in our life, giving a home to them has been an absolute pleasure.
We all move on and you know the thing they say Cats choose you, you don’t choose them. It was true when we went to Fife Cat Shelter. I can’t recommend them enough, they are understanding have great advice, and you can book your furbabies in there for their holidays too.
Maisie and Gracie completed our family and we picked them up on 1st July 2019, they weren’t related and we didn’t know if they would get on, but you’ve got to try. Maisie was three and Gracie was a year old still a kitten with lots to learn.
Well the first month was hard they really didn’t like each other, I put it down to them being kept in and not getting out without being on the lead. This was of course just temporary till they got their bearings.
And now they do like a chase but they never really get snuggly and they are great characters and great company.
Maisie is soft loves cuddles and loves a wander in the field. Gracie is getting softer and enjoys cuddles at night, she is also the hunter. They were great when I had chemo in 2020 they were my encouragement to get out and do short walks in the field. It was a wonderful feeling to walk with them and watch them play.
